About the Reseller

MCS Multi Computer Solutions (MCS), initially launched in 1997 to provide training in Microsoft products. MCS quickly expanded its operations to include managed IT services (networking, hardware, database backup, and other technical support) and retail point-of-sale (POS) software and support. MCS was an early adopter of RMH, and completed some of the earliest implementations of RMH Store Manager and RMH Central Manager. They have now completed over 35 RMH implementations in various retail verticals such as pet stores, clothing stores, sporting goods stores, specialty tobacconists, and winery shops.

About the Customer

Country Ski and Sport was founded in the 1970’s in Massachusetts. They primarily serve in the retail vertical with a focus on sporting goods, snowboards, winter apparel, and accessories. However, they also offer some services such as tuning, repairs, and more.

The Implementation: Migrating from RMS to RMH Central

Existing Setup: Before the migration, Country Ski and Sport was using Microsoft Dynamics RMS Headquarters and RMS Store Operations. Their stores—each staffed with 5-10 employees—were connected to a central system for inventory and sales management, but the system was outdated and limited in its capabilities

Challenges:

  • Data Cleanup & Synchronization: One of the biggest challenges was cleaning up the data migrated from RMS Headquarters to RMH Central. Duplicates and synchronization issues needed to be addressed to ensure smooth communication between the warehouse and the stores.
